Driven by my own sleep deprivation and nightmares, I initiated a series of projects examining sleep and dreams, first as a personal inquiry and later as a way to support others.
2023.12 - 2024.08
Developed and patented an ergonomic pillow concept inspired by the unconventional use of turning a pillow sideways, refining the design through user-centered experimentation to improve spinal support, sleep comfort, and overall physical and mental well-being, and earned a 2025 Korean Intellectual Property Office Patent.

Developed a multi-phase project exploring sleep and dreams through ergonomic design, neuroscience research, digital art, AI-assisted counseling, and clinical sleep research. Conducted research spanning orexin signaling, glial-cell resilience, polysomnography, and EEG analysis, resulting in a research publication and KSEF Gold Award. Translated research into practical applications through a patented pillow concept, dream-based NFT portfolio, and student sleep-health counseling initiative.
