Phase V : Polysomnography (Sleep Study) Research Internship
Completed a polysomnography research internship at Samsung Medical Center, studying EEG data analysis techniques used in computational sleep research. Conducted research on the spectral analysis of sleep EEG in psychiatric patients with early childhood traumatic experiences.
THE SWEET DREAM PROJECT
Driven by my own sleep deprivation and nightmares, I initiated a series of projects examining sleep and dreams, first as a personal inquiry and later as a way to support others.
Developed a multi-phase project exploring sleep and dreams through ergonomic design, neuroscience research, digital art, AI-assisted counseling, and clinical sleep research. Conducted research spanning orexin signaling, glial-cell resilience, polysomnography, and EEG analysis, resulting in a research publication and KSEF Gold Award. Translated research into practical applications through a patented pillow concept, dream-based NFT portfolio, and student sleep-health counseling initiative.
